Hello there,
First off let me apologize to all native Dutch speakers out there. I do speak Dutch. It's my native tongue. Well, Papiamentu should be my native tongue but although I grew up on the Netherlands Antilles I was raised by Dutch-speaking parents so there you go. The reason these pages are in English is quite simple; time restraints. I came across quite a few job ads that asked for a resume in English, I did not have the time to type these texts in two languages so I went for English betting on the realities of the modern business world to make sure future employers will at least be able to read a certain modicum of English. As for Urdu, Cantonese, French and so on: tough luck fellows. I speak none of those, without a doubt fine, languages.
Now, please allow me to be the first to welcome you to this site. My name is David Jessurun. I was born in 1972. I live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. As you might have gathered I'm looking for a job. Perhaps you are looking for an employee. If so, great! If not, well... I recommend hiring me anyway, just in case.
I would like to add one more thing before you read on: I do have experience with complex websites and interfaces. (For example: you try building an on-line questionnaire with three main routings, each with several sub-routings, tons of route-in and route-out options and still keep it flowing as if each and every visitor is visiting the same website.) I'm not showing too many websites right now. This will change soon. The thing is: I want to show off my design skills. You will just have to take it as read that I can work with someone else's design and build a (very) complex yet still useable and accessible website out of it. In some cases improving conversion by as much as 30%. Yes, Im still pretty stoked about that one.
Thank you for visiting, please view the other pages.
