David Dylan Jessurun: IEXProfs

IEXProfs

Role: Maintenance, brief, functional design, technical specifications, project management.

Built to my technical specifications, designed by Fier.nl, implemented / hosted by trilab.nl. I also provided significant input for the functional design including extensive work on some very complex interface issues. I was project manager / lead on this project until internal politics shifted the leading role to a daughter company. All in all, this project is largely ‘me’ and given that any project requires compromise, I stand by it. I selected the design companies who were asked to pitch, decided on the technologies to be used and oversaw most of the project build. I am also very happy with the work done by Fier.nl,, a company I cannot recommend enough. (No, I am not on their payroll.)

Accomplishments: At delivery the site validated fully and ran in ’standards compliance mode’. By careful weighing of necessities versus nice-to-haves, (very) tough negotiating and strict management of timeframes and budget, I managed to reduce the total cost of this project by a third of its original prognosis.
